Studio and Studies (8-10 years), 1:00-3:30, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays.
Children enjoy learning and sharing together, and that is what the Studio and Studies program is all about. Each day we will begin with a short Brain Gym session before we share a story together. We will learn together through themes that we’ve used during our yoga class, creating relationships to the ideas presented. We will discuss connections to the themes and express our ideas and questions with art and/or writing. The children will be encouraged to use their imagination, critical thinking skills and communication skills to build on the knowledge we have gathered around our themes. Our younger students will be given more direct instruction, and our older students will be encouraged to work more independently with the support of an instructor in the room. It is our hope that each child has a joyful and stimulating experience while engaging with other students, their instructor and the material presented.
