Studios/Venues
Every reasonable effort is made to ensure that all studios and venues we use are fully accessible to people with disabilities. As this is not always possible, Guelph Youth Dance Training Program will make information about venue accessibility explicit in our communication materials. Dancetheatre David Earle Studio, our home, is fully accessible with an elevator off the back entrance and restrooms with an accessible sink on the second floor. As the door at the back is kept locked, we will need to be notified in advance should you wish to use this entrance.
Communication
Guelph Youth Dance Training Program is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. When asked, we will provide information and communication materials in accessible formats or with communication supports.
Service Animals
We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public.
Support Person(s)
A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person is welcome to have that person accompany them free of charge at Guelph Youth Dance Training Program events.
Notice of Temporary Disruption to Accessible Services
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to accessible events or services, GYDTP will notify customers promptly. This notice will be posted on our website and at the venue and will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.
Modifications to This or Other Policies
Any policy of GYDTP that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.
Staff Training
GYDTP will provide training to employees, volunteers, and others who deal with the public or other third parties on our behalf. Training will also be provided to people involved in the development of policies, plans, practices, and procedures related to the provision of our goods and services. Staff will also be trained when changes are made to our accessible customer service plan.
