Contemporary technique class with Jesse Lhôte
These technique classes focus on body and limb alignment, the strength of the center, body weight and suspension, freedom of articulation, overall flexibility and strength, and musicality. Classes culminate in longer combinations: turning, jumping, and moving through space. Exploring Boneham and Limón principles (drop and recovery, bounces and suspensions, use of weight and momentum) the class also evolves into renewed contemporary movement applications.
Floorwork with Jesse Lhôte
In these classes the dancer explores the relationship of the body with the floor. The dancer will develop the abilities to move in and out of the floor with ease and fluidity by understanding and using with efficiency the skeletal structure, movement initiation, centering, core and weight. The dancer will learn simple to more complex movement patterns using breath, speed, coordination and energy exploring space and gravity.
