The core of hip-hop is culture. As a dance, hip-hop is broken down into various styles such as house, popping, locking and more. Nonetheless, hip-hop dance, originating from the original format of break dance, possesses it’s own foundation and literature. Hip-hop classes will cover this fundamental vocabulary along with drills, concepts and choreography which will integrate other urban street styles such as funk styles party/social dance, house and waacking. This class will be taught be Ashley Perez.
